Besides permanent exhibits (e.g. “Tree of Life” by Stefan Szczesny), above all, there are changing exhibitions in cooperation with other galleries and exhibitions. The centrality of nature is mainly of aesthetic value: the installed art is not independent; it constitutes a constant interplay with the environment by which it is inspired.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”669″ add_caption=”yes” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1567624741945{padding-left: 30px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

The COSMO Art & Science Foundation will give itself to the contemporary art. The barrier- free ground is equipped with many parking areas.

A significant nuisance for the local environment is not to be expected, due to the relative number of visitors. Furthermore we are planning a contest for the upcoming generation of architects.

Pavillon of Art – The Artcube
The Pavillon of Art will become the main building of COSMO Art & Science Foundation. In this building the visitors will find an exhibition space, a bistro, a small shop of the foundation and a library. A storage room will be provided as well.

The exhibition area will not only be used for exhibitions but also for panel discussions, music evenings and other cultural events. On top of this exhibition area a customer service is been planned. For that there will be a bistro in the main building offering regional specialties and a small crafts- brewery with self-subsistence. Changing special Exhibitions to selected topics will be hosted here.

Pavillon of Foundation – The Administrationcube
The foundation Pavillon will be composed of several smaller edifices and will be the home of the main- office and administration. As the main centre of the foundation projects will be pushed by the scopes of Art and Science, meetings will be hold, Scientists and Artists from all over the world will be received. The administration centre includes offices, archives and meeting rooms. Social Environments will be provided, too. For a full time supervision and upkeeping of the complex a facility-management and security service will be hosted.

Atelier of Artists
The artist’s complex can accommodate, for a certain period of time, the international artist working on site. The heart of the complex is the artist atelier, which needs to fit to the belongings and demands of international well known carvers. On one hand, the working area needs to be big enough to be able to host massive sculpture projects. On the other hand technical aspects need to be fulfilled, like a 6 m high roof or a big atelier door with traveling winch.

Very important is the living room directly connected to the atelier. 120 sqm are the minimum requirement for the artists who are working temporarily. The goal is to attract international well known artists, so it is important to have an incentive, furthermore enough living space for partners and/or children.

Involvement of the public
The COSMO Art & Science Foundation shall be a lively foundation. For a diversified interaction, a dialogue with the public shall take place. The objective is not to exhibit art statically but to give the public a deeper understanding in art. To reach this goal, the foundation plans a holisitc. This embraces panel discussions, music events and other cultural events.

Conclusion
The centrality of nature is mainly of aesthetic value: the installed art is not independent; it constitutes a constant interplay with the environment by which it is inspired. It is important for us that the surroundings stay in their natural, original way. Because of that a responsible interaction with natural structures and the inclusion of the sculptures in the given surroundings of Flora and Fauna are our aim and a substantial part of our concept.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]< Return to overview[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

COSMO Art & Science Foundation’s Sculpture Garden focuses on the dialogue between art and nature. More…

[12
