The COSMO Art & Science Foundation is proud to present ‘The Tree of Life’ at the Citadel of Saint-Tropez where Stefan Szczesny will be showcasing his monumental sculptures this summer.<\/p>\n
Every work of art on display perfectly embodies the way of life on the French Riviera: beauty, sensuality, luxury – and, at the same time, unity with nature. An exquisite combination unrivalled the world over. No other sculpture captures this energy of life bursting forth from the earth quite like Stefan Szczesny\u2019s Arbre de Vie, his tree of life.<\/p>\n
The glossy metallic surfaces of the trunk and the leaves reflect the vital energy surrounding them, before multiplying it in every direction. Although deeply rooted in place, the tree seems to blend almost invisibly into its surroundings. This masterfully crafted sculpture was the dazzling heart of the Palais des Papes in Avignon in 2014.<\/p>\n
Carried in by a helicopter, it now bathes the citadel – standing watch over the city – in a glorious play of light and shadow. We are proud to be making a key contribution to the 2017 exhibition in Saint-Tropez with this extraordinary work of art.<\/p>\n
