DIANA WEGE AT THE 60TH VENICE BIENNALE

The COSMO Art & Science Foundation supports the exhibition project of activist and conceptual artist Diana Wege at the
60th Venice Biennale
20 April to 24 November 2024

The COSMO Foundation is proud to support New York artist Diana Wege and her magnificent project “Elements of Being” during the Venice Biennale 2024 at Palazzo Bembo. “Elements of Being” is an immersive, multi-sensory installation that combines art and activism. Founded by Wege in 2013, the non-profit organisation WOVEN, in collaboration with AIRIE (Artists in Residence in Everglades), brings together different voices and art forms to end violence against humans, end deliberate cruelty to animals and find solutions to protect and preserve our natural environment.

The Palazzo Bembo will also host “Earth Requiem” by Diana Wege – a multidisciplinary musical performance and installation that aims to unite people of different faiths and beliefs through a shared love of the planet. “Earth Requiem” orchestrated by WOVEN Creative Director Klay Enos confronts climate change, pollution and resource depletion and works towards environmental restoration and social justice.

The overarching exhibition “Personal Structures” at Palazzo Bembo is part of the Venice Biennale and takes place for the 7th time in the heart of Venice at the European Cultural Centre (ECC).
